About

I’m a dreamy sort of a girl, generally walking around with images swirling around in my head.  I’m drawn to architecture, be it a beautiful old building in Chicago or a beautiful old tree in the woods. Mostly I want to communicate the beauty I find in the natural world.  I believe that nature and people need each other.  My paintings are meant to lure you out there, get you to fall in love with nature, and learn what you can do to help protect it.  I dream of a world where people and nature both thrive.

My work is available for purchase at http://melissabluefineart.com., or simply contact me here.  Thank you so much!

Recently, Melanie and I watched the first part of the original Disney movie Fantasia. I was reminded by the colors of some of your paintings. It was a pleasant reminder.

Hi Melissa. I love your reasons for creating art, hoping to share the beauty of nature and inspire people to protect her. That was my original reason to do photography. Thanks for following my blog.

Hi Melissa, I have only delved into your wonderful world of light and colour and delicate detail but a short way, and what I have seen and experienced thus far is trully magical and beautiful. I will look forward to following you and your inspiring art, and journeying deeper into your magnificent world. Pete.
